It seems that way. Doesn't seem to be much interest in this feature.

Thats really strange - I mean, the combination of Clyphx Pro Bindings with that OSC out stuff turn every obsolote Tablet into a nice display for several midi controllers, easy switchable with X-Clips or so. I was thinking about such a device for a long time, but was always to lazy. Hopefully this works out somehow soon (even in this pretty basic way) so that I can build a prototype Thanks for your work, Stray! Cheers

sorry for the lack of immediate interest! i'm just about to start working on integrating this feature into my control setup.
I've been writing down what i'm going to do with it and just need a bit of time to implement... Is there a way to change the IP address on the fly?

No worries or rush on it.

sorry, I`m also really interested, but at the moment I`ve got simply no time, but as soon as I get the chance I am doing loads of testing. the goal is to use it to send OSC to resolume arena

^^ no worries. lebasti, any chance you get send me/attach your Encoder Bindings.txt file and Lemur template? FYI, I'm not asking because I think you're doing something wrong. I just want to try to recreate the scenario you're working with here and potentially fix whatever needs fixing.

for sure! i thought I did this before, but maybe it was just in my mind . and I never have a problem if somebody thinks I am doing something wrong, so no worries <3. i am glad if you are looking after that topic! the test elements are in the first lemur page! i just tried it again - sending from terminal seems to work: oscurl 192.168.178.82:8000 /enc_1/value "test2" trying the same thing with osc str in various x-clip didn't do anything: [] osc str /enc_1 "abcd" [test_B] OSC STR /enc_1/value "efg" [test_C] OSC STR /enc_1 "efg" I did not try the osc-bindings-path again today because OSC str should be working anyway before Cheers!

I'm interested. I stumbled upon this b/c I just happened to see the last video on Youtube mentioning this. Sounds great! I'm going to try it out.

I'm super interested in this! I've spent most of the weekend trying to build a Max For Live device to act as an on-screen display for the "blue hand" device, and when I started running into challenges, my searching eventually led me to ClyphX Pro, the Bindings and this thread! Doing it in OSC was my original thought, but probably way beyond my capabilities.... Having now discovered ClyphX Pro my mind is totally blown! If it is possible to get this working, this will be perfect!

Okay, apologies for the delay – it's been a busy week, but have finally had a chance to take a look at this. First of all, in your previous post where you posted Preferences.txt and a Lemur screenshot, the IP addresses matched in both cases. In the Preferences.txt file here, the IP address is not 192.168.178.82 as it was in your previous post – it's 192.168.178.68. So that appears to be incorrect and needs to be fixed. Beyond that, the enc_1 and enc_2-related objects in Lemur on the midifighter tab work perfectly fine for me. They show the value of the selected track's volume. Also, sending them ints (like osc int /enc_1/value 10) works fine as well. Note that osc str is a bit flaky for some reason, which I'm looking into now. After fixing the IP address in Preferences.txt, does anything change?

No worries, thanks for your effort! The ip address changed in this example because I was using my old ipad3 this time - but the result is the same for both ip-addresses. I double-checked with lemur again.
Could it be that your are using some ableton live build which is allowing network stuff to be sent out via remote scripting which does not work in the regular version or something like that? Too bad I don't have second system here at the moment to test if it works on windows. I checked my firewall settings again, but everything is in place.
I don't really know if this useful - but this is how I checked open connections in mac terminal for live
Live 5925 el_bastei 38u IPv4 0xe8899179aab60109 0t0 TCP localhost:9008 (LISTEN) Live 5925 el_bastei 41u IPv4 0xe8899179ad414109 0t0 TCP localhost:9008->localhost:60248 (ESTABLISHED) mbpr:~ el_bastei$ lsof -i 4tcp | grep Live
EDIT: just tried it again without touchable script loading (because I thought maybe this causes some problem), but no success. The log file seems to tell me that everything is fine. Maybe you could send me a compiled version of your script that outputs some error when cx_core.osc_server is not working - or something like that?

I'm using standard Live builds here and Log.txt will show an error if there is a problem loading the server. Out of curiosity, are you able to use X-OSCs?
