Great work with the new vid on youtube... need any beta testers?
This is pretty much what I was after in a step sequencer. Click a pad and have the rotaries controls paramaters just for that pad.

the new vid is incredible, must have been so much work - remember seeing you mention something along those lines on the Bomes forum... is it really all Bomes, because that must surely rank as one of the foremost creations in that program. That's the first step sequencer I've seen that's raised my interest. a little off topic, have you got Live 7? You were using Tranzport emulation I think - do you find that it keeps sending out the same sysex twice, for the bottom line of the LCD, instead of top and bottom lines? (more explanation here if you're interested )

Sorry for the delay, Selthym. I’m just waiting to hear back from about 5 people who are interested in it…then I’ll build an installer and put it up for free. If people are into it, I can expand it with more parts, set it up to run in reverse/pendulum and do smoothing in between steps. stutter, yup…this is the sequencer I was talking about on Bome’s forum. Would be a PITA to do the programming in BMT itself. I have an editor I built (in AHK) for automating editing/creating translators and rules. Not sure on the Tranzport issue. I did have to re-order some of the SysEx messages (by using timers to delay certain messages), but I don’t remember offhand why that was necessary.

huh, clever. Gave up on Bomes a little while ago, before multiple midi-in-out was added (think it's been added now?), and the editing was a bit annoying (although some of it was easy compared to messing around in Max, which is what I'm trying now)

Hey stray modq looks fantastic. I can't get it to work properly though! all the controls seem to be working well enough, but the step sequencer doesn't move. the light doesnt progress from pad to pad.

Hi,
There are a couple variables involved in the sync working properly.
First, do you have the Sync switch turned on for Out to MIDI Yoke: 2? If not, turn that on and try again.
If you did have it turned on and it still isn’t working, it may have something to do with the install. During install you’re asked to select “MIDI Time Code” in 3 different areas. If one or more of those were missed, sync won’t work. Doing a reinstall would be the easiest way to fix that.
If it still isn’t working, let me know.
Thanks,
Stray

yeah, sounds like something I'd miss. i'm sure it will work fine after the reinstall. Is this going to be integrated into NK?

It's a possibility. I'd like to get it fleshed out (more parts/play modes) a bit more first though.

I have had a chance to play around with this for a while. This is an awesome piece of work. My favorie thing about this is the XY pad drawing in the envelope.
A few suggestions I have. that you may like to consider for future versions.
- The option to have pads that are not selected send out a 0 or other default value. - Have the encoder and two knobs send diffferent CC's with the shift button allowing more minute control.

My apologies for the delay. These sound like really good ideas. Still waiting on hearing some more feedback and then I’ll get to work on a finalized version.
