Hey Stray, I appreciate your videos. They've been helpful.
I want to pick your brain a second on how you managed to change the 8 bottom CC buttons on the PK to control the EQ bands in Live.?I can't figure how to change those CC buttons.
I use Sonar, not Live, but I figure the method is probably the same for both programs.
Is this something you've done with Midi Translator?
Thanks for any replies. Cheers

I didn’t change the CCs, I just assigned the pre-existing CCs to the EQ in Live. You may run into some issues when doing that since those CCs already have a pre-defined function. The way I got around it was by using Port A for remote controls and using Port B for instrument control. I’m not sure if that’s possible with Sonar.
Honestly though, using Bome’s to create a Shift button is a much easier way to do it IMO. You can assign the knobs and X/Y to four functions and then use Shift (which would change the CCs they're outputting) to assign them to another 4 functions.

It may sounds stupid as question but .. hemmm How do you do that!
I'd like to be able to create some scenes or BMT preset in which i can hit a pad combination and a cc# wil be assigned to one of the pad .. how do i do this !? PLEASE !?
It would have been much simpler if one was able to set customise which cc# was assigned to the knob instead of the default pitc bend, Main Volume, Pan, Xpression ... etc directly from the padkontrol

Hi,
You’re looking to press a pad combination and change the CC a pad is sending? I would think just using different scenes for your different CC assignments would be the easiest way to do that. If that wouldn’t work, give me some more detail on what exactly you’re trying to do.
Also, you can assign whatever CC you want to each knob…you aren’t limited to the 8 CCs listed over the bottom 8 pads. Those just allow you to quickly reassign the knobs.
Regards,
Stray

I mean it would have been great if i could be able to edit which cc# i can assign to the knob directly by hitting knob assign + PAD. By default when you do knob assign + PAD10 for Main Volume control the cc# assign to the knob is 7... it's a shorcut i guess... But that is not a customisable shortcut .. See i use Reason,(.. learning Live now) and those CC number are already assigned to some others fucntion but event if i reassign the cc# to anoother effect it wont have exactly the same effect on different instruments. I'll give you an example ..
I'm Working on the Redrum i load a drum patch and i have all those different drum sounds on the 10 different channels. By default, the CC#s controlling the pitch of each of these channels are 51-60 and the CC#s controlling pan are 19-28 instead of having to go trhough [SETTING] assign knob1 to CC# 52 and after 54 for pitch, and after 22 and 26 fo pan .. i'd have appreciate to be able to customize those shorcut and keep them with a scene so i won't have fisrt to set and dial to reassign everytime and also won't need t keep th cc# in mind each time that a have to record an automatisation.
and when you go to Dr Rex for example .. it's another story cause the CC# i was using b4 in the Redrum, yes may have stayed the same ( for expl : Main volume is still 7 , pitch bend is still pitch bend) but some change and/or are not relevant anymore There no more pan cc on the Dr. Rex, as the Redrum doesn't need a global pitch bend....
So keeping all those numbers in mind gives me headache in fact ... and even if i'd like to use MTP i don't know where to start Maybe a scene per instrument ... !?
I hope that u get what i mean ... but i don't think that it those shortcuts can b changed anyway.
