PK issues

okay i've got some questions...but i'd like to say hello also cause i'm new....right, i've bought a padkontrol and am having trouble saving things onto it via the scene selector so i can use different instruments in reason..i've also read the manual like a bible but am still stumped...i was wondering if this is possible to do......i'm using reason for example and using redrum..i've tried saving a scene onto the PK via the PK in redrum according to the manual. then i go to use for example maelstrom and then the scene which i just saved from redrum totally doesn't even register at all and then the new instruments that are in maelstrom i can hear on the exact same scene..so what happened to the ones i just saved onto it?? am i doing something wrong here? also i've tried loading the preset for ableton live and have completely no idea how to use anything else besides the initial 16 pads even though when i click the midi button in ableton there's loads of settings for different things...i've tried various things for both programs but don't know what's going.on.could someone help me please:(

Sorry for the delay. You can’t save any type of sound onto the pK. You can only save the mapping for the pK’s controllers. Check out the vid on “Getting Started with the padKontrol and Reason”. That covers how to create scenes for different instruments.
