Hey there,
I love the padkontrol setup and I downloaded the patch(TotalKontrolPackage) from the website and I read the instructions (many times) but something is not going right for me?? I open BOME MIDI TRANSLATOR (Which I downloaded) by double clicking MTSetup as it says in the instructions, but in the MIDI In Menu, there is no PadKontrol there??? No matter what USB port I have it in and the PadKontrol works otherwise?? If I have my MPC2500 Hooked up or My Roland SP555, BOME MT see those?? Im not sure ehat is going on here? Can you help??? I really want to use this setup that you created. It looks freakin awesome, but I can get past this step and I have been trying for 2 days now!
Please help, you are obviously well versed in the PK and I dont know whre else to turn.
I really appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks Again,
kcsherrell

Stray - Thanks for replying so quickly, I really appreciate it. I have no other MIDI Devices on this CPU? This is my laptop and I use a desktop in my studio (but it is a Mac G5 and I dont think your patch works on Mac, Right?) Anyway, I have this PC laptop and the PadKontrol is the only MIDI Device installed, but I uninstalled and then re-installed the driver, same thing. Your right I got an error message trying to transmit or recieve! So I went to Korg's Website and downloaded the latest driver, same result? Any other suggestions? I am totally stuck here!

Stray,
Sorry to keep going here, but I uninstalled the Roland SP555 and then reinstalled the Korg Driver and then it lets me go through selecting the PadKontrol into MIDI In Port A. I also double clicked PKSetup to open the librarian, but when I do step 3, when I click TRansmit, it gives me the error message "Transmite Scene Set Failed : MIDI Device Not Specified" Which is the same message I keep getting any idea's? Uninstalling the SP555 allowed me to at least get through Step 2 but I am still stuck! Man I want to get this working, this program/patch you created looks awesome!
Thanks So Much!

I follwed the post below mine and got it working using by setting the preferences to MIDI In - Pad Kontrol and MIDI Out to Control, you had aid in your reply to use Instant Mapping, I mnot sure how to do that ,but it seems to have worked so far! Can you expand on what you mean by Instant Mapping and how to do that?
Thanks So Much!

Glad to hear you got it working. Instant Mapping is a feature in Live that lets you use 8 knobs to control any plug in. It's actually part of TKP 2.0, it's on scenes 15&16. I also explain it in the vid TKP 2.0 In Use.

OK! Thanks. I have alot of work to do to get to where I want to be with Live and TKP. Any suggestions on good Live 6 Tutorial Video's that are either for sale or by download (Youtube, etcc)??
Thanks Again Stray!

For free go to the movies page of Ableton's website. U can also do a search on YouTube and you'll find lots. For money theres a group called Ask Vidoe who usually do good stuff. Their site seems to be down atm tho.
