every time i try to transmit or receive scene information, i get an error message 'midi device not specified'...even after i tried every single combination possible to make it work properly thru the midi preferences menu....help?

im having the same problem. don't know what happen. i get "device inquiry error" message or "device not connected" error message

well it seems to work as long as i have (pk editor preferences) midi in set to port A. and midi out set to CTRL.

Thanks lots! that cleared it up for me too...you rock...so...also, how do i set my pk to control, say, and eq8 in live and a filter delay without overriding each other?

Use Instant Mapping. That lets you use the same controls on the pK to control any plug in.
