First attempt at hip hop

Hi All,
Just joined today.
Thought I'd show my appreciation of this forum by getting the ball rollin here.

1st ever attempt at a hip hop (ish) piece (and one of my first tracks) so theres plenty of room for criticism, so lets see them posts!
But remember - 1st attempt, so be nice

As a side note: this was written for a rapper who writes in this style for himself but he never got round to puttin the vocals down.
So if anyone feels like it - spit!

This is pretty tight, kinda different which I like. Only critique I would really give on it is that the drums could bang a little harder and maybe sound a bit livelier…just add a sprinkle of verb maybe. I like the electro sounding elements you got going on in here…keeps my interest. Not bad at all for a first attempt.

I love this beat man, pretty much everywhere you'll hear the drums could be punchier, I find that's an easy critique on most beats, listen to club bangers and see what will get that comment to end. I still like a balanced beat like this though, I can imagine someone badass flowin over it, just don't have the skills myself. Either way, I wanna hear more, get you a Soundclick page.

I got a sounclick page but its my first ever tracks and they were all done for a film so i don't usually send people there coz i don't really feel its "my" music, just what I was asked to do.

I liked it. I agree with Stray on the drums though. It almost comes through too clean. I guess with vocals you would have to dampen a few areas, but all in all I thought id was good. Listened x3.

I love it, the drums need more punch but I love it. One question, what were you feeling when you did it. I have no idea what the hell I an thinking or feeling when I do my songs. I just do it until I feel no more and have to move on. I can't even name the song. Anyway, I can't wait to hear more.

Thanks alot. At the time I was lovin the eerieness, and also feelin huge respect for my buddy Rael, one of my top 5 or 10 favourite artists of all time and a great friend.
