Like I said in the other thread, once I finish with all the add ons, I’ll be offering customized packages for $10. But, if you’d rather DIY, I’ll be posting the recipes for each one.
The Chopper Recipe
Pick an Audio Track in Live and the respective Scene on the pK to use for this set up. For this Track/Scene, you’ll have to lose some controls…Volume, Pan, Send A, Send B, Mute, Solo and Overdub.
1. First, you need to insert as many Scenes in Live (not Scenes on the pK) as you want chops…so you probably want at least 8. You can insert Scenes by pressing Ctrl+I.
2. Then load a sample into the first Scene and double click on it to open Clip View.
3. Go into MIDI Mapping mode and delete the mappings for Volume, Pan, Send A, Send B, Mute, Solo and Overdub.
5. Go into MIDI Translator, click Add, name the translator if you want and then click Edit.
You can get more than 8 chops by using another Scene (or 2 or 3) on the pK.

- Click on Record and hit Pad 4.
- Click on Loop and hit Pad 3.
- In Clip View, click on Start and touch the upper right hand corner of the X/Y pad.
- Click on End and turn Knob 1.
- Click on Clip Launch for each of the Scenes and assign them to the bottom 8 pads.
5. Go into MIDI Translator, click Add, name the translator if you want and then click Edit.
- For Incoming, click the Capture MIDI box and hit Pad 1 on the pK.
- Click on Outgoing, then Key Stroke and hit Ctrl+D.
