Hello,
I bought PXT yesterday, and I'm learning and loving it... amazing work, thank you, Stray and Native Kontrol!
Forgive me if PXT already does this somehow... like I said, I'm still learning it, but I would like a way to have a dedicated controller that has a few functions that I use constantly - all in one place, without menu changes.
For example, I would like to have: arrange punch-in/out recording with one button... no use of modifiers clip loop on/off arrange loop on/off clip loop position and length arrange loop position and length arrange rew/ffw clip rew/ffw insert marker position control arrange zoom and if possible clip zoom ... all in one place... no menu changing.
I know the Global controls, and the Global Encoder mode on PXT has much of this, but not all of it. Plus, there are so many other great uses for PXT, and I would like to keep my encoders available for those... so I'm wondering...
Can you recommend what the fastest way for me to customize a setup like that?
Should I look into a script Native Kontrol has designed fora cheaper controller, like a Korg NanoKontrol2, and buy one so I can dedicate that to the functions I want? Should I look into PXT-General or DDC? Should get a launchpad and map it to dedicated a "hidden" track with clips performing the functions I want? Do I need to learn how to write MIDI Remote Scripts?
Thanks for your help. Your making my music-making fun again!!! Cheers,

Most of the stuff you're looking for can be done via ClyphX. Anything that ClyphX doesn't do directly (such as zooming) can be done via ClyphX's User Actions providing that Live's API allows for it.
You can trigger ClyphX actions (including User Actions you create) from PXT-Live's Accessory Mode and/or use ClyphX's X-Controls with a different controller.
