One way to use x mod to access other modes only after pressing buttons $b1_default$ = solo $b1_mode_1$ = mute $b1_mode_2$ = solo $b1$ = $b1_mode_1$ $b1$ = $b1_default$

Does the pseq work with this? I tried it, ofcourse, but it only triggered the 2nd part of the sequence.
$b4_mode_3$ = "Drum A"/dev(1) DR PAD(2) MUTE $b4_mode_4$ = (pseq) {"Drum A"/dev(1.2) sel ; PUSH MSG "Snare A Layer 1"} ; {"Drum A"/dev(1.9) sel ; PUSH MSG "Snare A Layer 2"} $b4$ = $b4_mode_3$

Apologies for the delay. Yes, but not in that way as (pseq) isn't part of an action list (so can't be part of a macro), it precedes an action list. So, you'd put it before the macro in your X-Control: (pseq) $b4$

Hi, my X-Modes dont work.
I installed the XModeAction.py and _init_.py in the folder _user_actions in Midi Remote Scripts. _init_.py seems to be without any code....
in X-Controls.txt I have:
mode_1_button = CC, 9, 113, 0, 127, xmode 1 mode_2_button = CC, 9, 114, 0, 127, xmode 2 mode_3_button = CC, 9, 115, 0, 127, xmode 3 mode_4_button = CC, 9, 116, 0, 127, xmode 4
b1 = CC, 9, 109, 0, 127, $b1$
in Macros.txt I have: $b1_mode_1$ = 10/sel $b1_mode_2$ = 11/sel $b1_mode_3$ = 12/sel $b1_mode_4$ = 13/sel $b1$ = $b1_mode_1$
The default mode works, but I cant switch to other modes.
Whats the problem ?? Any help?
Thx Martin

DEFINING YOUR MACROSFor each X-Control, you'll define one Macro with the same name as the X-Control and then one Macro for each mode. For example, for 3 modes, your Macros would look something like this: $b1_mode_1$ = mute $b1_mode_2$ = solo $b1_mode_3$ = arm $b1$ = $b1_mode_1$ The naming scheme here is important. Above are the names we would use for the Macros related to the X-Control named b1. These define that $b1$ will be assigned to $b1_mode_1$ by default and when mode_1_button is pressed, to $b1_mode_2$ when mode_2_button is pressed and $b1_mode_3$ when mode_3_button is pressed. Hi Stray, Is it possible to define a macro like this following one?: $b1_mode_1$ = SEL/CLIP(SEL) LOOP ON ; SEL/CLIP(SEL) END 1.5.1 ; SEL/CLIP(SEL) CUE 1.1.1 : SEL/CLIP(SEL) CUE 1.1.1 ; PLAYQ 1 BAR Not really sure but the ":" colon doesnt look to work here ? Thanks

Hello I'm trying yo add mode fonction to a button of my lauchcontrol xl. I'm editing a user template in order to control a drumrack. It contains 7 slots: KICK, STICK, SNARE, CLAP, TOM, HATS, RIDE. On each slot (or chain) i've included a rack in order to manage Bank selection. For example, in my KICK slot, i've got a rack with 4 chains : NATURAL, ELECTRO, ETHNIC, FX. I Can select the chain with a knobmacro (live functionnality chain Number) What i want to do is to select the desired chain with a button. In my case i've 2 rows of 8 buttons, i would like to use the first button of the first down to enter in xmode 1 and the buttons 1 to 4 to select the Kick Bank 1 to 4. And do the same thing with the 2nd button of the first down to enter mode 2 but the button 1 to 4 of the 2nd row Will select the STICK Bank. I've made Thais: On the x-controls: MODE_1_BUTTON = NOTE, 11, 41, 13, 15, XMODE1 B1 = NOTE, 11, 73, 28, 60, $B1$ and on the macros.txt: $B1_MODE_1$ = DEV CH("KICK") SOLO $B1_MODE_2$ = DEV(1.1) SET CUR 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 The first 0 of the function DEV SET sets the macro to the value if 0 wich is the Number associated to the chain named NATURAL. Hope i've been clear :-) Thanks for tour help

Hi guys, I give up.. actually everything worked fine, then I 'improved' something, now's not working anymore. What am I doing wrong: In x-controls.txt I have: mode_1_button = note, 1, 92, 0, 127, xmode 1 mode_2_button = note, 1, 79, 0, 127, xmode 2 mode_3_button = note, 1, 78, 0, 127, xmode 3 b1 = NOTE, 1, 75, 0, 127, $b1$ b2 = NOTE, 1, 74, 0, 127, $b2$ b3 = NOTE, 1, 73, 0, 127, $b3$ b4 = NOTE, 1, 72, 0, 127, $b4$ in Macrox.txt I have: $b1_mode_1$ = "CPline"/PLAY 6 ; "DUMMY"/PLAY 15 $b1_mode_2$ = "BaseklammerLine"/PLAY 6 ; "SnarepiezoLine"/PLAY 6 ; "CPline"/PLAY 6 $b1_mode_3$ = "MelodikaLine"/PLAY 6 $b1$ = $b1_mode_1$ $b2_mode_1$ = "CPline"/PLAY 7 ; "DUMMY"/PLAY 16 $b2_mode_2$ = "BaseklammerLine"/PLAY 7 ; "SnarepiezoLine"/PLAY 7 ; "CPline"/PLAY 7 $b2_mode_3$ = "MelodikaLine"/PLAY 7 $b2$ = $b2_mode_1$ $b3_mode_1$ = "CPline"/PLAY 8 ; "DUMMY"/PLAY 17 $b3_mode_2$ = "BaseklammerLine"/PLAY 8 ; "SnarepiezoLine"/PLAY 8 ; "CPline"/PLAY 8 $b3_mode_3$ = "MelodikaLine"/PLAY 8 $b3$ = $b3_mode_1$ $b4_mode_1$ = "CPline"/PLAY 9 ; "DUMMY"/PLAY 18 $b4_mode_2$ = "BaseklammerLine"/PLAY 9 ; "SnarepiezoLine"/PLAY 9 ; "CPline"/PLAY 9 $b4_mode_3$ = "MelodikaLine"/PLAY 9 $b4$ = $b4_mode_1$ Problem: mode_1 works, but modes_2 and _3 not. If they're 'activated' only mode_1 actions are triggered. Debug Log.txt (42.88 KB) Thanks for any help! L

to have a visual feedback. Cmds in macro.txt should work like this. good luck!

I made a text with a different controller and an empty Live-Set and your tip of visual feedback: x-controls: b10 = note, 10, 55, 0, 127, $b10$ mode_4_button = note, 10, 48, 0, 127, xmode 4; msg "XMODE 4“ mode_5_button = note, 10, 50, 0, 127, xmode 5; msg "XMODE 5“ mode_6_button = note, 10, 52, 0, 127, xmode 6; msg "XMODE 6“ mode_7_button = note, 10, 53, 0, 127, xmode 7; msg "XMODE 7“ macros: $b10_mode_4$ = METRO OFF $b10_mode_5$ = METRO ON $b10_mode_6$ = SREC OFF $b10_mode_7$ = SREC ON $b10$ = $b10_mode_4$ >> doesn't work. Do you get no visual feedback or does the xmode not work?
